I'm excited to announce a collaboration between myself and my friends at keyboardio: we will be working together to produce the Atreus 2!
The Atreus 2 will be sold as a fully-assembled keyboard rather than a DIY kit. Despite this, we expect the price to be lower than that of the existing Atreus kit.
It will be sold thru the keyboardio store, and we hope to make it available early next year. In the mean time you can sign up for the wait list.
(This image shows a preproduction prototype; the final version will have the keys in the same place but a different case and different keycaps.)
The key differences from the original Atreus are:
We haven't finalized which switches to use, but we hope to offer one quiet tactile switch and one clicky option, or bring-your-own.
The keyboardio post has some more details. We're excited to be working with them to offer this improved keyboard at a lower cost which will make it so that a much wider range of people can get their hands on an Atreus.
